Taylor Louie Zanke works with found and made groups of material to become part of situations, their origins, and unfolding. Working with sculpture, installation, drawing, artist books, and sound, his practice attenuates relationships between states of coherence, accretion, belonging, and contingency through acts of improvisation, organization, and surrender. Using an evolving language of objects, spaces, images, and sounds he explores the possibilities that simultaneously arise out of and create this process.
