Taylor Louie Zanke works with found and made groups of material to become part of situations, their origins, and unfolding. Working with sculpture, drawing, publishing, graphic design, and music, his practice attenuates relationships between states of coherence, accretion, belonging, and contingency through acts of improvisation, organization, and surrender. Using an evolving language of objects, sounds, spaces, and images he explores the narrative possibilities that simultaneously arise out of and create this process. He is the founding director of Allowing Many Forms, a Los Angeles based imprint that publishes existing or collaboratively made bodies of work in print.
